About Alignment

What made me write Alignment?

Alignment was the idea to take two things I have great interest in; World War 2 and outlandish concepts. The whole idea stemmed from these loves and the idea that I wanted to write an action movie.

I spent a lot of time researching World War 2 due to my interest in military history. While researching I discovered the mythology around the Nazi’s and their cult fantasies such as the Nazi Gold Train. It took a while to settle on a time concept that would allow the world with our knowledge, post World War 2, to figure out the whereabouts of the wondrous Gold Train. After spending time planning, I managed to come up with a concept that worked. It was then about trying to include the mythology into history as accurately as I was able. This resulted in the version of Alignment written today.

My favourite scene in Alignment?

My favourite scene is a character scene nearer the end of the piece, just after the big set-piece. I love the interactions between Nick and his ex-wife, Rebecca, when they are discussing their past together. The scene is a lot slower than most of the film, which is full of action, but it works to show how much they still love each other and are willing to do for each other.
